Shepard's Pie

This Keto Shepherd’s Pie is the perfect cozy meal for little ones, filled with hearty vegetables, savory ground meat, and a creamy, cauliflower-based topping that mimics the classic potato mash. It’s low-carb, packed with flavor, and a great way to make sure they get a balanced meal!

Cooked 80% Lean Ground Beef
Celery
Carrots
White Mushrooms
Cauliflower
Tomato Paste
Butter
Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper (optional)

Instructions:
Begin by preparing your cauliflower mash. Steam your cauliflower until very tender, drain and mash/blend until smooth. Since the cauliflower is weighed after cooking I recommend making a bit more than you need. After mashing or blending you can scoop out the portion you need and mix it with the butter and set aside.
While your cauliflower is steaming start prepping the filling by adding your celery, carrots, mushrooms and olive oil to a pan and cook over medium heat until tender. Once your veggies are tender, add your cooked ground beef, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and spices to the pan and reduce to a simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Pour the filling into an oven safe dish and spread evenly. Then add the cauliflower mash and spread evenly with a spatula making sure to cover all the filling. A small pinch of salt and/or pepper can be added to the mash.
Place the Shepard's Pie in the broiler on hi for a few minutes to brown the mash, remove when it's done to your liking and serve warm!
